Haircuts are almost always relaxing – and it’s easy to see why – since they combine both relaxing sounds and soothing sensations. So it was only logical that when ASMR videos first began to appear, haircut role-plays would rapidly become one of the most popular niches in the genre.
And while many of the first videos were rough and almost embarrassingly amateurish, some of the latest ones are masterpieces that not only completely immerse you in the haircut experience, but have the potential to leave you in a tingle coma.
So after making an immense sacrifice for my viewers, and spending countless hours watching ASMR videos on Youtube, I’ve selected the five very best ASMR haircut videos for this list. So in no particular order, I present to you the 5 best ASMR haircut videos.
Ok, so maybe it wasn’t that big of a sacrifice.
5. Haircut Roleplay – Softygaloshes
I don’t know what it is, but few ASMR artists can give me tingles like Softygaloshes does with her role-play videos. And this video is no exception, where the viewer is treated to one of the most relaxing haircuts imaginable. There are plenty of soft sounds to trigger a person’s tingles, as well as her trademark soothing whisper, which is simply the best.
A word of warning though – there are mouth sounds in this video, which tends to divide people like spam – either they love it, or hate it, with very few people feeling ambivalent towards it. But if you enjoy the sounds of chewing and lip smacking, then this video is blissfully relaxing and totally worth watching.
4. Men’s Shave and Haircut Barbershop Roleplay – TheUKASMR
While this video isn’t as immersive as the others on this list, Chloe of TheUKASMR absolutely nails all of the haircut sounds, and her amazing whispered voice is just the cherry on top. But what really makes this video are the shaving sounds – something that sounds so incredibly relaxing, I had to watch the video multiple times (for the sake of my viewers of course).
At least if things don’t work out for Chloe in ASMR, she has a bright future providing hot shaves for men. Although, I imagine most men would probably be passed out from tingles by the time she was done.
3. Quick ASMR Haircut With Real Hair Sounds – Olivia’s Kissper ASMR
While it doesn’t have the same variety of sounds that other videos on this list have, Olivia, of Olivia’s Kissper ASMR, still presents viewers with a wonderful haircut experience. She works very close to the camera in this video, and accompanies the relaxing sounds of scissors and spraying water, with soothing hand movements. There is something raw about this video, and it actually feels like you’re immersed in a real haircut.
I have to say, if actual haircuts were this relaxing, I’d probably grow out my hair and become a mountain man – if only to experience the type of haircut she provides in this video.
2. Relaxation Session with an ASMR Artist – MassageASMR
Who wouldn’t enjoy a full service haircut from Dmitri’s alter ego, Manwelle? Not only is he the most attentive barber around, but he also wears an immaculate puffy shirt.
This is what a haircut should be – a thorough head massage and face massage, followed by a relaxing trim. While the face brushing might be a bit awkward in a public setting, I feel the rest should be immediately implemented in all future haircuts.
1. Super Long Relaxing ASMR Haircut – WhispersRed ASMR
It’s no secret that WhispersRed ASMR is one of my favorite ASMR artists, and her videos are always flawless masterpieces of tingle inducing sounds and whispers. And this video is no exception, with the viewer being presented with nearly 50 minutes of haircut ASMR triggers. There’s really something for everyone here, and alongside soothing whispering, you’ll find everything from the soft sounds of towels and hair brushing, to the crisp sounds of cutting hair and spraying water.
I challenge anyone to make it through the full length of the video without slipping into a peaceful slumber, or at least some sort of ASMR stupor, where you’re completely overwhelmed by tingles.
